Bill Valle, Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer, Bill leads 12 vertically integrated North American business units focused on products, services and risk for renal disease and other chronic conditions. He also sits on the Management Board of Fresenius Medical Care. Previously, he was President of Fresenius Kidney Care, where he was responsible for the successful management of more than 2,200 outpatient facilities, 1,400 inpatient programs and 800 home dialysis programs across the U.S. Prior to that, Bill served as President of the company’s Integrated Renal Services, where he led the transformation into a high performance renal network to improve the outcomes and reduce the costs of managing renal disease. Before joining the company, Bill had 22 years of experience in the dialysis industry, serving in executive roles in sales, marketing and business development and as owner of several private dialysis centers.

Mike Asselta, Senior Vice President, Operational Excellence

As Senior Vice President for Operational Excellence, Mike leads the Operational Excellence team including the FMCNA Project Management Office, the Information Security team, and has P&L responsibility for Spectra Laboratories. He is responsible for setting a continuous improvement agenda and managing enterprise-level opportunities from design to implementation. Prior to joining FMCNA, Mike had 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including serving as Chief Operating Officer for LabOne, Inc., a publicly traded medical laboratory, Vice President for Quest Diagnostics and Executive Vice President for SelectQuote Senior, a healthcare insurance exchange. Additionally, Mike served in an advisory capacity to healthcare venture capital firms and on the boards of several private companies. Mike earned a Master of Business Administration from Baker University and completed Fresenius Medical Care’s executive development program through Harvard Business School.

Chris Churchill, Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Innovation

As Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Innovation, Chris is responsible for corporate strategy and supporting business units in the development of their individual strategies. Chris also leads the product management team in development of technology-enabled solutions to improve patient care. Previously, Chris led inpatient services, home therapies, marketing and customer experience for Fresenius Kidney Care. Prior to joining Fresenius Medical Care, Chris worked for Iron Mountain where he built and led two of the company’s highest growth business units. Chris began his career with 10 years in investment banking. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Princeton University and Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Mark Costanzo, President, Fresenius Renal Therapies Group

As President of Renal Therapies Group, Mark oversees renal products and pharmaceutical operations including sales, marketing, the Renal Research Institute, medical and regulatory affairs, as well as Mexico and Canada operations. He assumed this position in January 2010. Mark joined Fresenius Medical Care in 1990 and has held several positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President, Peritoneal Dialysis Products and Vice President, Sales and Marketing. He began his career in the renal industry more than 30 years ago with Baxter International.

Kate Dobbs, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications

As Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Kate leads the team responsible for marketing and brand strategy, corporate and medical office communications, community relations and digital strategy. Her team supports all business units to tell a cohesive, one-company story through integrated marketing communications campaigns. Kate joined the Corporate Communications team at Fresenius Medical Care in 2016. Prior to that, she worked for Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Staples, Inc. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Washburn University, a Master of Business Administration from Regis University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge.

Lisa Estrada, Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President

As Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer, Lisa oversees the company’s Ethics and Compliance Department which is responsible for managing and implementing programs to comply with applicable laws, regulations and established company standards. Lisa joined the company in December 2015 as Vice President and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and assumed her current rule in October 2016. Previously, Lisa spent 15 years as a private practice attorney specializing in health care regulatory and litigation matters. She was a partner and health care practice group leader at Arent Fox LLP in Washington, D.C. and partner at Foley & Lardner LLP in New York. Lisa earned her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Brian Gauger, Chief Development Officer

As Chief Development Officer, Brian is responsible for corporate mergers and acquisitions across North America, leading scores of successful business development transactions. In addition, in 2017 Brian was named Chief Executive Officer and President of National Cardiovascular Partners, LLP (NCP), an innovative company that creates, sustains, and grows independent, outpatient cardiac catheterization and vascular labs. In that role, Brian is responsible for guiding the organization’s overall direction, strategy, and partnership development efforts. Further, in 2018, Brian became responsible for the oversight of corporate strategy for FMCNA. Prior to joining FMCNA, Brian built 22 years of experience in the dialysis industry, with executive roles in sales, marketing, and business development.

Peter Gladitsch, Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Peter is responsible for all financial operations for the company. Peter joined FMCNA from UnitedHealth Group (UHG), where he most recently served as CFO of Optum Complex Care Management, a national provider organization serving the needs of Medicare special needs plans and Medicare-Medicaid dual demonstrations. Prior to that role, Peter served as CFO for UHG’s Northeast Region of Community & State. He has also held senior financial roles at Health Net of the Northeast and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Peter holds a Master of Business Administration in finance from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. John’s University.

Karen Gledhill, Senior Vice President and General Counsel

As Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Karen oversees FMCNA’s law department, which provides legal support for practice areas including corporate law, commercial contracting, health care regulatory, litigation, payor relations, securities law, corporate finance, real estate, clinical research, labor and employment and FDA regulatory. Karen joined FMCNA in 2014 after serving as outside counsel for 18 years. She was formerly a shareholder and chair of the healthcare practice group at the Robinson, Bradshaw law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina. She holds a J.D. from Columbia University where she was a member of the Law Review and a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar, as well as a Master of Business Administration and bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina. Karen is recognized as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.

Ravi Kalathil, Chief Information Officer

As Chief Information Officer, Ravi oversees FMCNA’s information technology functions. Before joining FMCNA, Ravi was with Gambro Healthcare leading both its CIO and CTO functions. Previously, he was a senior leader at a health care startup venture providing business to business integration, disease management and clinical trials solutions to the payer, provider, pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Ravi has a bachelor’s degree in physics and a Master of Business Administration and postgraduate degrees and certificates in computer science and management from the University of Colorado and the Sloan School of Management, MIT. He holds multiple engineering patents and has served on the Technical and Industrial Advisory Boards and CIO councils for various technology companies and universities.

Cameron Lynch, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs

As Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, Cameron leads all company interactions with federal, state and local government officials and entities. He oversees a team that interacts daily with policymakers and legislators in Washington D.C. and all fifty state capitols. Cameron has over 20 years of experience working on legislation and public policy in the nation’s capital. Prior to joining FMCNA, he worked for many years in the U.S. Senate as a health policy advisor to three U.S. Senators and served as the executive vice president of the Bipartisan Policy Center. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Cornell, a J.D. from William & Mary and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown.

Dr. Frank Maddux, Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President, Clinical and Scientific Affairs

As Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President for Clinical and Scientific Affairs, Dr. Maddux is responsible for the delivery of high quality, value-based care for the largest integrated renal care network on the continent. Physician, IT entrepreneur and healthcare executive, he has more than 30 years of health care experience, including the practice of nephrology at the Danville (Virginia) Urologic Clinic, where he served as its president from 1995 to 2005. Frank is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and has served on numerous boards and regional committees involved in technology initiatives, banking and health care. He received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Vanderbilt University and his M.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he completed his internship, residency, chief residency and nephrology fellowship.

Angela McClure, Chief Experience Officer

Angela McClure is the Chief Experience Officer for Fresenius Medical Care North America. In this role, she and her team lead the strategy and programs to support the overall experience for employees, patients and their families, partners, physicians and customers. This important work leads to stronger engagement, the delivery of superior quality within a culture of compassionate care and higher performance. Angela previously served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to joining FMCNA in 2014, she was the head of Human Resources for Physiotherapy Associates, a Select Medical Company, and prior to that served in various Human Resources management roles with Gentiva Health Services, now Kindred Healthcare. Angela holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas concentrating in management, human resources and organizational behavior.

William McKinney, President, Integrated Care Group

As President of the Integrated Care Group, William leads Fresenius Health Partners, FreseniusRx and FMCNA’s managed care team. He joined FMCNA following Fresenius Medical Care’s acquisition of MedSpring Urgent Care, where he served as Senior Vice President of Infrastructure. After being named President of Fresenius Health Partners, he launched FMCNA’s health plan. William has held senior leadership roles at WellCare Health Plans and TeleTech Holdings, and has also consulted for McKinsey & Company. He holds bachelor’s degrees in computer engineering and mathematics from Southern Methodist University.

Ron Rodgers, President, Fresenius Kidney Care

As Executive Vice President of FMCNA and President of Fresenius Kidney Care, Ron is responsible for overseeing our dialysis services business. He assumed these roles in January 2017. Previously, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Fresenius Kidney Care, West Division and Fresenius Vascular Care. Ron joined Fresenius Vascular Care in 2010 when Fresenius Medical Care acquired National Vascular Care, the company he co-founded. Ron has more than 30 years of experience in general and financial management, including leadership experience in venture-funded startup companies.

Brian Silva, Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President, Administration

As the Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Vice President, Administration, Brian is focused on delivering solutions to human capital issues and managing the company’s corporate real estate activities. Prior to FMCNA, Brian was Chief Human Resources Officer at Gentiva Health Services, the country’s leader in home health and hospice care. Before Gentiva, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer, Senior Vice President, Administration and Corporate Secretary for Linens N Things and held senior HR roles at The Guardian Insurance Company and Allstate Insurance. Brian received master’s degrees from Columbia University in organizational psychology and from New York Institute of Technology in human resources management. Brian is past Chairman of the Board for the Society for Human Resource Management and a Board Member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration.

Kim Sonnen, Senior Vice President, Payor Relations and Corporate Communications

As Senior Vice President Payor Relations and Corporate Communications, Kim leads negotiations with commercial insurers and develops new models for engaging with and developing coordination among government payors, exchange-based plans, risk-bearing provider systems and other new payors. She plays a leading role in the development of FMCNA’s strategic business operations and has significantly contributed to the growth of the company’s dialysis services business. Kim also serves as the Chair of the Board of the Fresenius Medical Care Foundation. She joined FMCNA in 2003 as Vice President of Managed Care and Marketing, after serving as Chief Operations Officer of Renaissance Health Care, a renal disease management company. Her previous health care roles included leadership positions with Gambro Healthcare and a consulting organization which she founded.
