A Letter to Patients from our Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer
To Our Valued Patients,
We have been working hard to get COVID-19 vaccines to you directly, and are happy to share we have made great progress. In late March, we agreed to a partnership with the U.S. government that will help us vaccinate all people living with kidney failure. Our care teams will provide you with updates on when the vaccine will be available to you as part of this new agreement.
Your health and safety are extremely important to us. Our Medical Office is confident each of the vaccines, which have received Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA, will help prevent COVID-19 and are safe and effective. Any risk for a serious reaction is very low. Through our partnership with the U.S. government, we expect to have the two-dose Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. Our staff are trained and ready to treat any potential allergic reactions in the small chance this occurs.
As the pandemic continues, we must use science and technology to stop this virus. We strongly recommend that you are vaccinated as soon as possible. If you have received a vaccine, congratulations! Please tell your care team so we can record it and be aware.
Please read “Understanding the Facts About the COVID-19 Vaccines” to learn more. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding during these challenging times. We are honored to have the privilege to serve you.
Sincerely,
Bill Valle
