To celebrate Fresenius Medical Care North America’s merger with NxStage, a leader in home dialysis and critical care, more than 300 employees from both companies “canstructed” custom structures using 18,000 canned goods, later donating all products to the Greater Boston Food Bank.
With the recent merger, the company aims to give patients better access to new technology that is allowing more people with kidney failure to live fuller lives by dialyzing at home.
The six canned good structures included a set of three-dimensional kidneys, the companies’ logos and a house to demonstrate the focus on home dialysis treatment.
