To recognize nephrology nurses’ passion and dedication to caring for patients with kidney disease, Fresenius Medical Care North America (FMCNA) is providing the American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA) a $20,000 grant for five educational scholarships in the amount of $4,000. FMCNA announced the grant during Nephrology Nurses Week in September 2017, underscoring its belief in supporting nurses by helping them further their education.
In 2005, the American Nephrology Nurses Association designated the second full week in September as Nephrology Nurses Week, a time to celebrate the nurses who are committed to improving the lives of patients living with kidney disease.
Nephrology nurses are dedicated to providing personalized care to people living with kidney disease, and their passion and commitment to patients truly makes a difference. This contribution to their professional association is our way of not only thanking these caregivers who are vital to the profession, but also helping them further their careers.
