Triple Your Impact When You Donate During Our Annual Fundraiser

The CARES Fund provides emergency financial assistance to Fresenius Medical Care (FMC) employees when they need it most—through natural disasters, chronic illness, loss of a loved one, and other unexpected hardships. Over the past year, the CARES Fund has helped more than 1,200 employees during crisis, including those impacted by recent disasters such as the devasting wildfires in Maui and Hurricane Idalia.

Since the CARES Fund is powered by the generous contributions of employees, physicians, vendors, and other friends of the fund, we like to pause once each year to highlight those generous donors—and to add new ones, like Crystal, as part of our “Who Cares?” campaign.

If you are receiving this newsletter, you are already a donor to the FMC Foundation. However, during our annual “Who Cares?” fundraiser (running this year from September 18 to 29) we’re inviting you to either increase your recurring donation—or donate again—to help us reach even more employees in need. When you donate now, you’ll make an even bigger difference, because the company has pledged to match every dollar you donate during the campaign with two dollars, up to a $300,000 match.

Because it ensures that we have a stable base of available funds to provide immediate response, our preferred donation selection is a recurring donation (set up via payroll deduction or credit card). However, we recognize that everyone has different preferences and, of course, one-time donations are also warmly welcomed and greatly appreciated! For one-time donations, you have multiple options, including credit cardACH/wire transfer, check, and Venmo—and if you’re an employee, you can even contribute by payroll deduction or donating your PTO hours

The process is simple and, considering that your donation is matched by FMC, any amount helps. Every donation is pooled together and makes a big difference in our employees’ lives. As an added thank you, we’re sending a free CARES Fund mug to the first 70 people who donate during our annual fundraising campaign.
