As Executive Vice President, Fresenius Medical Care North America, and our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Rob Kossmann leads clinical care for our company throughout North America. From 2014 to 2019, he served as senior vice president and chief medical officer for Fresenius Medical Care’s Renal Therapies Group, the company’s medical equipment and renal pharmaceuticals division, and he continues to serve as the head of renal therapies for our Global Medical Office.
Rob is a leader in the field of nephrology, and formerly served as president of the Renal Physicians Association (RPA). He is also a founding member of the RPA's Nephrology Coverage Advocacy Program, and previously served as a nephrology advisor to the American Medical Association's Relative Value Scale Update Committee.
A practicing nephrologist for more than two decades, Rob trained at the University of Washington and earned a doctor of medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University.
