Milind Nikam is a vice president in Global Clinical Affairs within the Fresenius Medical Care Global Medical Office. He leads medical governance and digital health in Asia Pacific. His interests are vascular access including device development, hemodialysis medical program management, and application of digital health, including AI for improving dialysis care. He joined Fresenius Medical Care in 2017 as a medical director for the Singapore office. Prior to that, he successfully set up one of the first interventional nephrology programs in Singapore. Dr. Nikam graduated in medicine from Mumbai with a prestigious gold medal and obtained his subsequent post-graduate training in internal medicine and nephrology in the United Kingdom, earning a doctorate in dialysis vascular access from the University of Manchester. Additionally, he is trained in endovascular interventional nephrology, one of the first in the UK.
